| Tell me More…. How are the Seminars Designed? Each seminar is designed to be offered within a 45-60 minute timeframe. Presentations can be done in a quiet corner of the employees’ cafeteria or designated boardroom. Provisions can be made for groups desiring a longer workshop. What are the benefits for my company to offer these seminars? Research shows that employees who are comfortable, educated and knowledgeable in their childcare arrangements and parenting skills are more productive employees and have fewer absenteeism days. Who are the presenters for these seminars? ECETI has numerous instructors who teach early childhood coursework, and other professionals such as nurses, psychologist, speech/language pathologists and preschool teachers. Most are parents themselves who have dealt with similar concerns as other parents. What are the costs of a 45-60 minute workshop? The basic cost is $175.00 (materials included). ECETI can customize any of these seminars to your location and timeframes. Day long parenting conferences can also be arranged. Can a corporation set-up a monthly schedule of seminars? Yes, absolutely. In fact we encourage corporations to select a series and schedule that best fits the needs of their employees. How do you suggest I choose the seminars to be delivered? Some corporations include the choices in their company newsletter with a short reply form. Others use email to get feedback from employees as to what their needs are. If I set-up a year long series and the needs change, can I change the workshops? Absolutely, with 30 days notice. Some of my employees work from home and it would not be convenient for them to attend an on-site seminar. What are my other choices? ECETI can arrange seminars closer to where they live or provide evening classes if that is more suitable. An additional cost would be charged to secure an outside location. I would like to offer 1 seminar to my employees. What do you suggest? ECETI suggests the Rise-N-Shine Seminar. We would extend a 10% discount during 2004 to have your company try this one out. What are some of the other services ECETI offers? ECETI offers a wide variety of services to both early care settings and not for profit and profit organizations/corporations. We are involved in the CT State Dept. of Social Services “Training Program in Child Development” as well as a host of on-site professional development opportunities for teachers and school systems. Our consultative services include education consultation, business and management, computer database design and technical assistance for staff evaluations and motivations. ECETI also provides Organizational Development Services: facilitation of strategic planning sessions, training for Boards of Directors, Conference Planning and Association Management.
