Directors' Workshops

Administration and Supervision of Early Childhood Programs workshops are specifically designed to assist programs in meeting their needs as well as School Readiness requirements.

Financial and Administrative Issues: This workshop will present an understanding of the laws and regulations around ADA, Federal Dept. of Labor, and other laws that effect programs, as well as how to maintain sound financial practices. (2.0 hours)

Working with Employees: Building a Positive Work Environment. The use of employee policies and procedures, discipline issues, incentives and rewards all assist in motivating staff. This workshop will examine how these are implemented in your center and provide suggestions to strengthen this part of your program. (2.0 hours)

Employee Evaluations: Developing Classroom, Program and Professional Development Goals from Employee Evaluations. Staff evaluations that are of an ongoing process, dynamic in character and collaborative in nature, build the “we” feeling in a center. This workshop examines different types of evaluations, their purpose, and how to develop program, classroom and individual professional development goals as part of this process. Let staff evaluations ‘work for’ instead of ‘against’ the center. (2.0 hours)
